Republican Representative Lauren Boebert might not have such an easy path to victory this year, as two Republican primary challengers have emerged to take her down. The challengers say that they are tired of her "grandstanding" that accomplishes absolutely nothing for her district or the country, and they couldn't be more correct about that. Boebert doesn't have the benefit of a being in a deep-red district like Marjorie Taylor Greene or Matt Gaetz, so a challenger could at least wound her enough to cause her defeat in a general election. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins discusses this.

Republican representative Lauren Boebert might be in trouble this year in her primary race, because she has two very strong, very popular Republican primary challengers and of course, right now, she currently also has six Democrats running against her. Now, of course, that's gonna whittle to one after the primaries in Colorado, but for now, Lauren Boebert has to fight off eight different people, lobbying eight different lines of attack against her. So here's what's happening. On both the Democrat and Republican side those challenging her are pointing out to their constituents that one, she's done nothing for us. She has of course proposed 17 different pieces of legislation in her first year in office. But unfortunately for residents in her area, not a single one of those proposals made it out of committee. They simply weren't good because she doesn't know what she's doing. So one Republican challenger says this, is she really even trying to get stuff passed?

All I see is grandstanding and he goes on to say, yes, being in the minority creates a challenge to get legislation passed, but does not make it impossible. During my time in this state legislature, I've served in both the majority and minority and have been successful in moving legislation forward. That happened because I took the time to build relationships and coalitions around the issues and left the politics out. More importantly, I've never found any benefit in lobbing personal attacks, getting in the face at those who do not agree with me on issues. It's not productive. Okay. So this individual, Don Coram seems to be a bit of a, a, a centrist, I guess you would call him, but also not an idiot. And if he goes to the voters with that line of attack saying, listen, she's in the minority. I've been in the minority. She, you can't get anything done because all she's doing is people off and alienating herself. I was able to get stuff done because I built bridges with other Republicans and we made it happen. I built bridges with Democrats when those bridges were necessary.

It's a pretty good message, right? As for the Democrats, again, they're lobbying the same kind of attacks against her, but the Democrats may not stand that much of a chance. Her district was recently redrawn and it actually brought in a little bit more Republicans. So her district is a little more red than it used to be and it was already considered an R plus six district, which means however many seats the party gains nationally, or, or, or percentage, whatever, it's usually six points higher in that particular district. Let me read this. Colorado's third district that Boebert represents is the 180th most Republican district nationally. So kind of closer to the middle of the pack, by the way, for congressional districts, but certainly leaning heavily conservative and more conservatives were just added to it. This research does not necessarily reflect that. So yes, the Republican who wins the primary is likely gonna cruise to a, maybe easy victory in the general, or maybe not because you gotta look at some other numbers too.

It's not just, oh, this district's too heavily red. No, no, no, no such thing in, in some cases, because as it turns out in 2020, Lauren Boebert won that seat by only 10,000 votes. Lauren Boebert Gets More Primary Challengers As Republicans Grow Tired Of Her ‘Grandstanding’
