
India-Taliban 2nd formal meeting set in Moscow; What's likely on the agenda

India has accepted Russia’s invitation to join talks with Afghanistan in Moscow on October 20. Confirming the Indian participation, Arindam Bagchi, spokesperson for the Ministry of External Affairs, said Thursday: “We have received an invitation for the Moscow format meeting on Afghanistan on October 20. We will be participating in it.” This will be India’s second formal meeting with Taliban since the group took control of Afghanistan. It is likely that the MEA will send a Joint Secretary-level officer to the meeting – a final decision is yet to be made. Watch the full video for more details.
