Published at : October 23, 2021
Exercise Wallaby 2021 saw about 580 Singapore Armed Forces personnel as well as platforms from the Singapore Army, Navy and Air Force taking part. In 2019, 3,000 personnel and 300 platforms were involved, while last year's exercise was suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The annual exercise is held at the Shoalwater Bay Training Area in Queensland, Australia. It's the first time the upgraded Chinook helicopters are training with the Republic of Singapore Navy. The CH-47Fs were delivered in May 2021 and conducted exercises like deck-landing.
