
Catalytic converter theft suspect appears in San Diego court

Oscar Hernandez Romero, 34, in court on Sept 28, 2021 for arraignment on charges of grand theft, vandalism, possession of a forged driver's license, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and possession of methamphetamine.
Romero is a suspect in a series of catalytic converter thefts in the Clairemont Mesa area of San Diego in early September 2021. Prosecutors allege he was staying in a local hotel with a 15-year-old runaway at the time of his arrest. Romero pleaded not guilty.
